Microsoft Security Updates For Windows 10, 8.1, 7 September 2017 Direct Download LInks

Microsoft has released various security, non-security, and monthly roll up updates for Windows 7 (Update KB4038777 and KB4038779), Windows 8.1 (Update KB4038792 and KB4038793), and Windows 10 (Update KB4038788 version 1703 and KB4038782 version 1607) on 12th September 2017.

Following changes have been made for Windows 10 version 1703 in update KB4038788

  • An issue has been fixed with color profiles which do not revert to the user-specified settings after playing a full-screen game.

  • LSASS is leaking large amounts of memory in the previous update, but this is fixed now.
  • The addressed issue where enabling encryption using exe renders the system unbootable.
  • Updated the psm1 PowerShell script to not log passwords when logging is enabled.
  • The issue was occurring where saving a credential with an empty password to Credential Manager causes the system to crash when attempting to use that credential. This has been fixed.
  • Updates have applied to Internet Explorer 11’s navigation bar with a search box.
  • An issue has been fixed which addresses that in Internet Explorer where undo is broken if character conversion is canceled using IME.
  • An issue has been resolved with the EMIE where Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer repeatedly switched between each other.
  • The addressed issue where a device may stop responding for several minutes and then stop working with error 0x9F (SYSTEM_POWER_STATE_FAILURE) when a USB network adapter is attached.
  • Some apps cannot be opened because the IPHlpSvc service stops responding during the Windows boot procedure. This issue has been removed now.
  • An issue was addressed where exe stops working. This issue has removed now.
  • Addressed issue where the Get-AuthenticodeSignature cmdlet does not list TimeStamperCertificateeven though the file is time stamped.
  • An issue has been fixed where, after upgrading to Windows 10, users may experience long delays when running applications hosted on Windows Server 2008 SP2.
  • The issues were found and fixed with a RemoteApp display that occurs when you minimize and restore a RemoteApp to full-screen mode.
  • Sometimes Windows File Explorer to stop responding and causes the system to stop working. This is resolved now.
  • An issue that causes the Export-StartLayout cmdlet to fail when exporting the layout of the tiles at startup. This has been fixed.
  • An issue was fixed which causes the option to join Azure AAD unavailable sometimes during the out-of-box experience.
  • An issue has been fixed where clicking the buttons on Windows Action Center notifications results in no action being taken.
