Opera 50 has been released and is available for download and installation for all Operating Systems including Windows, Linux and Mac OS. You can download Opera 50 offline installer for all Operating Systems and install it on multiple computers without having to use Internet bandwidth multiple times.
Opera 50 comes with several notable improvements including anti-bitcoin mining feature, VR player enhancements, renewed VPN support, Chromecast support, more functional tab context menu and direct save as PDF feature.
Let’s discuss the features of Opera 50 and head on to its download links.
Opera 50 becomes the first browser which prevents crypto-currency mining scripts from running in the browser. There are several reports of extensions and addons in Google Chrome which were using the browser for bitcoin mining for the authors of the plugins.
Now Opera 50 will be able to prevent cryptomining scripts from running in the browser. This will make the browser take less system resources and run better. The overall system performance should also improve because of this feature.
The cryptomining prevention feature is a part of Opera’s ad blocker. With the ad blocker active, valuable Internet bandwidth can be saved as well as system resources by blocking unwanted advertisements etc.
Opera 50 VR Support
Opera 50 comes with better VR video support. This means that with Opera 50, you’ll be able to play videos with a built-in 360 degree VR player.
Save as PDF support
Opera 50 comes with built-in support for saving a webpage as PDF. There is no need to install a separate printer or PDF driver for saving a page as PDF. Just open the page in Opera 50 and select Page –> Save as PDF from the file menu.
If you right-click a tab in Opera 50, you will find two new options, Reload and Reload all tabs. Selecting Reload will refresh the selected tab while Reload all tabs will refresh all opened tabs on the current window.
