Network Reset is a new feature in Windows 10 that can be used to easily reset network settings to fix network connection issues in windows 10. In this article, we will explain step by step how to reset network settings in Windows 10.

You might come across a situation where you might be unable to connect to your network. This might happen if you unintentionally disturbed some settings of the network on your laptop. The easiest solution to fix this is that you reset your network settings and it will fix any changes that you made in the settings intentionally or unintentionally which will make your settings the same as they were when you first installed windows.This article helps you understand how to reset your network settings.

In order to reset your network settings go to the start menu->select settings

Network and internet

After going into the settings menu, select the option of network and internet.

In the network settings under the title of change your network settings  scroll down and you will find the option of network reset. Click/select that option.

A new window for network reset will open.This window gives you all types of warnings, explaining to you what will happen if you reset your network settings. The settings will go to default settings, your saved passwords on your home network might get lost.

From this window select reset now and it will ask you for confirmation, click Yes.

Changes in the System

After that, a command prompt will open that will make changes to your system settings. After waiting for a little while windows will tell you that it will shut down the computer in 5 minutes so that it can reboot and make changes to the system software.

Please wait until Windows restarts the computer. There you go, all your network settings are now set to default like they were when you first installed in windows.

Please note that this method will not roll back network adapter drivers. You will need to roll back the driver or manually install new network drivers. The reset network method will restore the default Windows network settings and this should fix the connection problems. If you are aware of the exact problem, you can also use the network troubleshooter. The network troubleshooter can also fix most network problems but it’s scope is limited as compared to resetting the complete network configuration.

      Check your network drivers and try resetting the network components again. It should work.
