Windows 11 Insider Update

Microsoft has now released a new Windows update to the Windows 11 Dev channel. Insider Preview Build 25182 has been published for the Insiders, which makes updates to the Camera app and the Microsoft Store app, of which the details have been shared below.

Additionally, this build also brings a lot of other fixes and improvements to the operating system. That said, Microsoft has now set the expiration date of Build 25182 to September 15th, 2023. Users that install this build can avoid getting expiration notices, which is why it is recommended that you install it if you are subscribed to the Dev channel.

Let us now continue to discuss the improvements in this build as well as the known issues.

New in Windows 11 Build 25182

Improvements to the Camera App

Microsoft has made a few changes to the Camera application, updating its version to 2022.2207.29.0. The most significant update is the native support for Arm64 devices. Moreover, the app can now understand the different states of the privacy shutter on supported hardware.

If a supported camera is blocked by a shutter, or if the laptop’s lid is closed, the Camera app will prompt you accordingly and offer guidance.

Updates to Microsoft Store App

The Microsoft Store application has also been updated to build 22207.1401.x. This update includes a few new features to enhance the user experience.

Users will now be able to see a screenshot inside the search results which will allow them to get a gist of what they are browsing, without having to actually open the app page first. Moreover, users can now install games directly from the Store app, and the apps will not change, giving the user a better experience.

Other Improvements and Fixes

Other changes and fixes have also been made with this flight:
