Removal of Java DB
Java DB, also known as Apache Derby, has been removed in this release.
Improve LDAP support
Endpoint identification LDAPS connections is enabled in this update.
Better stack walking
New access checks have been added during the object creation phase of deserialization.
Unable to use the JDWP API in JDK 8 to debug JDK >=9
The implementation of VirtualMachineImpl.canGetInstanceInfo() has been corrected, so it is now able to see JDK JVMs >= JDK 9.
Better stability with older NUMA libraries (-XX+UseNuma)
A fix included in JDK 8 Update 152 introduced a regression that might cause the HotSpot JVM to crash during startup when the UseNUMA flag is used on Linux systems with versions of libnuma older than 2.0.9. This issue has been resolved.
This update also fixes the security vulnerabilities listed in Oracle critical patch update.
This version will expire with the release of the next critical patch update scheduled for 17th October 2018. If you are not connected to the Internet, Java 8 Update 181 will automatically expire on November 16th, 2018.

Check for update using Java Control Panel app
After checking the Java version, you may find whether your version is updated one or not. If it isn’t updated one then you can update it automatically via Control Panel app. You have to go ahead with following simple steps to update it.
Open Control Panel and go to Java.
Now go to Update tab and click on “Update Now".
If any new update is available, the installer will start downloading the update, it will take 1-2 minutes to complete the downloading and installing the Java update.
After installation completes, a confirmation window will say that your download is successful.
