Server Apps Lifecycle (End of Life)

Server applications are deployed on servers that serve a specific purpose. They usually host a bunch of other applications and services for management and communications purposes. Such apps are managed by managers, including sysadmins and database administrators.

When support for server applications ends, it means that they stop receiving technical and functional support from the manufacturers or the society that manages those apps. Where some server apps offer on-demand technical support to root out issues, those are also concluded when the specific app version reaches its end of life. Additionally, they also do not receive any further security updates after surpassing the security support deadline.

Like all software, you should upgrade your server apps to the supported versions before they become a hotbed for hackers with unpatched vulnerabilities.
