Vistalizator is strongly advised against by Microsoft
    ~–~–~–~–~ -~–~–~–~- ~–~–~–~- ~–~–~–~–~-
« Vistalizator is a third-party application and is not supported, nor recommended, for Windows 7. Please do not attempt to install it as issues will likely arise »
    Carey Frisch, Microsoft MVP
    https://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/f019f8fb-b069-4c3a-978d-9630f765e487/vistalizator-is-not-working-for-me-help

Another on the same page adds: Vistalizator commonly causes Non-Genuine issues in Windows due to the fact that it installs these language packs in a way that is unsupported by Window.

MUI and LIP language packs in Windows 7
    ~–~–~–~- ~–~–~–~–~- ~–~–~–~–
A – You write « The default language is always English and other languages can be installed manually ».

    1. Actually, from what I can guess from the according Microsoft pages (which are just are imprecise, variable, unreliable as usual), the “default language” (actually “parent language” in Microsoft parlance) is English in SOME versions like the English ones sold in USA, Australia or UK, but it is NOT in many other versions like French, Hebrew, Chinese, German. Details in link A4 above.

    2. Again according to *my* guess *of Microsoft*, “other languages” can NOT “be installed manually” when they require a parent language which is NOT installed.

B – Clarifying (or trying) the 2 different sorts of language files in Windows 7:

    1. An LP (Language Pack), also named (even in Microsoft’s own documents!!) “Parent Language”, “Base Language”, “MUI Language Pack”, installs ONE particular “parent” language in Windows INTERNALLY, and will cause Windows to display, in a fast and reliable manner, MOST OF the interface in that parent language.

    2. An LIP (Language Interface Pack), also named “LIP Language Pack”, can only be installed ON TOP of an MUI pack and makes an EXTERNAL TRANSLATION of PART OF what that MUI has installed. More, each LIP is written for just ONE parent language and only works on top of the according MUI.

    Details:

(A chart showing clearly what edition or parent language of Windows 7 is required to install the language you want)

Windows 7 Ultimate, Enterprise are Multilingual, Professional is NOT
    ~–~–~–~–~–~- ~–~–~–~–~–~ -~–~–~–~–~- ~–~–~–~–~–~-
A – You write « make sure that you are using Windows 7 Ultimate, Professional or Enterprise editions because these language packs can only be installed in these editions ». Actually, support for Multilingual User Interface (MUI) packages is included only in Ultimate and Enterprise editions, NOT in Starter, Home or Professional. This point is important since most laptops come with Professional installed. For details see:

    2. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_7_editions (then Ctrl+F “lang” then “Multiling”)

I just downloaded the Language Pack for my win 7 prox64. When I click on the downloaded exe file, the LP directory is created and after few seconds it disappears completely from the download directory. Would you know by any chance why is this happening, please?

What is not working? I have tested the links and they are alive and working. If you are having problems installing, please let me know more about your problems so that we can get you through to the installation process of the language packs.

What’s the exact complete error message? I suspect that you are not downloading the 64-bit edition of your required service pack. Please confirm that you’re using x64 service pack for installation.

Hi Ramazan, all the downloads given in this article are exe files. You will find the exe files which can be installed directly by running the executables. Can you explain how you have downloaded the file and which file and how you are running it?

Hi bro, First of all, thanks for your kind answer..
I downloaded Chinese language pack which is 152MB and named as “windows6.1-kb972813……” , and it is for 64x based computer, windows7, no mistake about it either. When I click to install, as I said before, it just create a folder in the desktop named “Ip” . I can send you an image of this folder, or shortcuts of all the files in this folder so you can see their names.. shortcuts Is that possible to email you for this? this is my email, please let me know if possible:

The only thing that I can speculate is that you do not have Windows 7 Ultimate or Professional version. If this is true then you will need to install the language pack using Vistalizator. You can download Vistalizator from here:
