Intel has released new driver updates for their Bluetooth and WLAN devices for January 2024. The new driver version is 23.20, more precisely, 23.20.0.3 for the Bluetooth driver, and 23.20.0.4 for the Wi-Fi driver.
The Wi-Fi driver update includes several improvements, including BSoD errors and “No Wi-Fi networks found” errors, while the Bluetooth driver only includes functional updates. That said, there have been a plethora of reports that users are unable to install the Bluetooth driver.
According to these reports, the Bluetooth driver shows the following error message when attempting to install it on certain devices:
InstallErrorString = You have insufficient privileges to read this folder.
End users also claim that running the installer with administrative privileges has no use as it still fails. However, after testing it myself, I was able to install the Bluetooth driver without any hiccups or errors.
Intel also intimates the users that the Wi-Fi 7 support for the supported hardware depends on the operating system, which is Windows 11. Since the OS does not support it at the moment, the supported hardware, which is BE202 and BE200, will continue to work using Wi-Fi 6 technology. Nonetheless, if the support were to be incorporated, the devices would now be able to handle the 6GHz frequency band.

Intel does not mention any significant improvements for the Bluetooth driver update. They only mention that it includes functional updates, and therefore, the users should update it as soon as possible.
Closing words
I believe that when Intel knew about the Bluetooth driver installation issue with privileges, they immediately fixed it and updated the downloadable driver without making a public announcement. This is probably why I was able to install the Bluetooth driver 23.20 without hinderences and errors.
If you still encounter the issue for some reason, the only solution right now would be to wait for an update by Intel to fix the issue permanently.
