How to Install SQL Server Management Studio

Once you have downloaded the SSMS, here is how to install it:

  1. Double-click the downloaded package to execute it.
  2. Click Install on the installation wizard.

  3. SSMS will then begin installing on your PC. The process should take about 5 minutes, but can vary depending upon your system’s specifications. Once completed, click Close.

If you ever want to uninstall the SSMS, here is how to do it:

  1. Launch the installation package you had previously downloaded by double-clicking it.
  2. Click Uninstall from the Wizard.
