Yes you can mount the ISO file and install it from there. But I think it will not let you format the system drive.

I have to download back the ISO of windows 10 pro because of the missing services and features in the current windows of 10 pro that I have in my pc. Well, I like 10 pro because of it’s ability to get through in my computer works. Thank you! Hoping it can be able to resolve the issues I have the current windows I have. God bless!

If you want to upgrade your Windows 10 to the latest build, then you may download this Windows 10 Version 1709 which is the latest at this time.

If you are upgrading your already installed Windows 10, the setup will give you the upgrade option for your version of Windows.

I want to upgrade my offline PC which I’m using for audio work. Can I do it if I make a bootable USB with this ISO and upgrade from there? I don’t want clean install since I have too much software installed on it.

Hi Ian, be assured that this the files you downloaded are directly from Microsoft. We don’t change anything. If you have a genuine Windows 10 license key, you can confidently continue with the activation.

Please download the file using a download manager whether you are on a mobile device or on a computer. Download managers have the ability to restart the download from where it left off.

Thank you iTechtics for providing the link to the official ESD file from Microsoft. I used it in the Dism+ tool to create an ISO file and did an in-place install upgrade to update my Windows 10 Enterprise from version 1703 version 1709. It worked like a charm and now I am running the latest OS version. I tried all other methods
but no success in upgrading to the latest version.

Thank you so much and please continue the good work going in future as well. Kind Regards.

I personally use Free Download Manager for Windows and Internet Download Manager for Windows. If you are using Android then you may try Advanced Download Manager. BTW, I would recommend using Windows for downloading as you will need to convert the ESD files to ISO which is only possible if you are using Windows OS.

Amit if you were not downloading through a download manager, I’m afraid, you’ll need to start the download process again. If your browser supports download resumption, please try to resume download from the point where it was broken.

Hi! Thanks for the links. I want to install Window 10 Home Single Language on a Lenovo laptop which has a digital license for this version of Windows 10. Ive downloaded this file “http://fg.ds.b1.download.windowsupdate.com/d/Upgr/2017/10/16299.15.170928-1534.rs3_release_clientconsumer_ret_x64fre_en-us_f6df8c19358335bc05e638b45bb6c6f8078480a4.esd”. I then converted it into an ISO and made a bootable Windows USB pen drive using the Rufus tool.

When I tried it out the bootable pen drive, it installed Windows 10 S on the laptop for which there is no digital license on the laptop.

How do I ensure that Windows 10 Home Single Language is installed and not some other version?

Same thing happened to me. Windows 10 S installs on my asus laptop instead of Windows 10 Pro. In fact I already have a legal key. I first upgraded to pro, then it doesn’t allow me to run exe files. So some people recommend to make a fresh installation, but if I tried a fresh installation it again install Windows 10 S, The key doesn’t even work when entering. It says The Product Key Entered Does Not Match Any Of The Windows Images Available For Installation Of Windows 10

Boot from the converted ISO and select upgrade instead of clean/custom installation when Windows asks. All your data should be safe but it’s always recommended to take backups first.

Hi Princewill, Windows 10 ISO or ESD is the same for all Windows 10 versions including the Pro one. It depends upon your product key which version of Windows 10 is activated. If you don’t have the key yet and want to install Windows 10 Pro, then you can use the product keys provided in this article:

I’m not sure if you’ll be able to upgrade from and Insider Preview version of Windows 10 to 1709. If you’re having issues with your product key, you may try to run media creation tool and upgrade Windows directly from there instead of creating a bootable USB drive.
