Web Apps
Web apps are web-hosted applications that run inside your browser, and are not hosted locally. This means that they can be accessed from anywhere, using any device, remotely.
Since these are web-hosted applications, their updates are not required to be downloaded onto your device for installation. However, they do need to be installed manually, as not everyone wants to upgrade to the latest available versions immediately.
If you do not upgrade a web app version, it will remain on the current build unless you update it manually. Once it reaches the end of life, like all software, the application stops receiving functional and security updates, as the vendor is primarily focused on maintaining the latest versions.
Here you’ll find some of the common web apps in use today and their EOLs. Web apps are some of the most vulnerable application types since they are always online and always accessible.
