Lately, Joomla has been replaced by WordPress and other popular CMS like Magento and Django CMS.
Support status guide
End of life (EOL) is the end of a product’s useful life. When a product reaches the end of its life cycle, the manufacturer no longer supports it. The following table explains the different phases of a product’s lifecycle. Testing status is when the product is initially released and EOL is when product support is no longer offered. The time between these two points is the support timeframe.

Joomla releases unannounced updates and follows semantic versioning, which includes a major release, a minor release, and patch releases. Thus, its versioning is also done as “Major.Minor.Patch”.
Each major release receives at least 4 years of total support – which is inclusive of active and security support phases. Moreover, every major version receives at least 2 years of active support, but the actual duration of active and security support can vary.
